Building the nations starts with building the individuals. And with educating, supporting each individual we strengthening the whole community. The founder of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), late His Highness Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan rooted the important concept of starting to build a nation by building a healthy society. There is no doubt that, the United Arab Emirates, under the wise leadership of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan-the President of UAE, and Their Highnesses, Members of the Supreme Council of the Rulers of UAE, have a remarkable progress in strengthening the UAE health sector.
Emirates Thalassemia Society was established in 1997, under the licensure of UAE Ministry of Social Affairs. As the Chairperson of Emirates Thalassemia Society,I am committed to support all measures that improve the quality of life of the Thalassemia patients and this includes supporting their education and job opportunities. I also encourage the federal vision of increasing the community awareness and pre-marital testing for Thalassemia. This is not only to support the Thalassemia patients and improve their quality of lives, but also to prevent the spread of Thalassemia disorder nationally and globally.
We, here at Emirates Thalassemia Society, are always ready to render the best form of help to the patients and their families, simultaneously serving the society as a whole and trying to make a difference in many people’s lives.
