n the occasion of World Thalassemia Day, May 8, and in cooperation with the Ministry of Health and Community Protection, some places in the United Arab Emirates were illuminated in red, which symbolizes the color of blood due to its importance in continuing the life of a thalassemia patient. On this occasion, the Emirates Thalassemia Society seeks to support thalassemia patients and exploit this opportunity to establish Awareness of thalassemia.
