 Tuesday, May 30, the Emirates Thalassemia Society, in cooperation with the ‘TRANSWORLD’ an international shipping company along with the Dubai Blood Donation Center, organized a Thalassemia awareness and blood donation campaign at the company’s headquarters in Jebel Ali. Based on their constant support to provide the necessary support for Thalassemia patients, a huge number of the TRANSWORLD employees turned out for blood donation in the mobile blood donation van. As Emirates Thalassemia Society always seeks any opportunity to spread awareness about thalassemia, they efficiently distributed educational brochures about thalassemia to the employees and encouraged them for premarital test, simultaneously explaining the importance of donating blood for the benefit of thalassemia patients. Through this platform the Society recieved a great turnover of visitors interested in inquiring about thalassemia .

With this event and the blood donation campaign, the Emirates Thalassemia Society finally concluded the activities and events of International Thalassemia Day for the month of May.
