Emirates Thalassemia Society marked the Thalassemia International Day 2022, by lighting the Burj Khalifa, world's tallest building, to raise awareness about Thalassemia and its impact on Thalassemia patients and their families all around the world.
Several families gathered in Downtown Dubai to celebrate the event, and witness the celebration with a spectacular moment of lighting the Burj Khalifa, carrying a message of support and solidarity for thalassemia patients.
The world celebrates the Thalassemia International Day every year on the 8 May in support of people suffering from Thalassemia and their families, and the caregivers.
According to the Thalassemia International Federation, 80 million .people in the world suffer from thalassemia
