Under the patronage of HisHighness Sheikh / Hamdan Bin Rashid Al-Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai,President of the Executive Council, President of Dubai Sports Council, TheDubai Sports Council and Emirates Thalassemia Society, in cooperation withAl-Wasl Club, organized charitable match between National Team veterans andAl-Wasl Club veterans under the guise “Together to limit Thalassemia” inZa’abeel Stadium.

The match was played withinthe awareness campaign for the disease launched by Emirates Thalassemia Societywith participation of governmental and private establishments and authorities,the campaign was conducted in conjunction with The Thalassemia World Day, todraw the attention of the community individuals that the Thalassemia patient isnormal person and has the ability to produce and give and practice the sportactivities, including football which need great physical and mental effort. Thematch included team consisting of many famous names of local veteran players.
