Emirates Thalassemia Society participated in the 12th Thalassemia & Hemoglobin Diseases Conference and the 14th International Conference For Patients & Their Families in Antalya, Turkey by forming an official UAE delegation consisting of Society Board Members and personnel, patients and doctors. 

The conference included the official declaration of electing Her Highness Sheikha Sheikha Bint Saif Al-Nahyan, Chair Person of Emirates Thalassemia Society to be as a member in the Thalassemia International Federation (TIF) Board Member, which is deemed as a big achievement to United Arab Emirates. The prestigious conference also brought forth the latest researches and developments in treating Thalassemia. The UAE patients also enjoyed . 

The conference reached the following conclusions: 

Provide treatment centers comparable to (Thalassemia Center – Dubai) in each of the Emirates in the State. 

Provide jobs for Thalassemia patients
