His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Fujairah, in the presence of Sheikh Maktoum Bin Hamad Al Sharqi, received at his palace in Al Rumaila members of the Emirates Thalassemia Society along with a group of Thalassemia patients, who congratulated His Highness on the occasion of receiving the “Personality of the Year” award from the Sheikh Sultan Bin Khalifa Al Nahyan International Thalassemia Awards. HE Abdul Baset Merdas, Vice Chairman of the Emirates Thalassemia Society, stressed the great role played by His Highness the Ruler of Fujairah in this field and the great services provided by Fujairah with its advanced center to all Thalassemia patients suffering from this disorder. At the end of the meeting, the members and th patients presented the Ruler an 'Appreciation Trophy' thanking him immensely. The meeting was attended by His Excellency Mohammed Saeed Al-Dhanhani, Director of the Emiri Court in Fujairah, His Excellency Salem Al-Zahmi, Director of the Office of His Highness the Crown Prince of Fujairah, and Khalida Khammas, Executive Director and Secretary of the Emirates Thalassemia Society.
